Brief: A UAE-based online fashion company approached me to help them in creating a fresh brand identity that would complement their brand and help them stand out in the market. And to further establish a distinct and eye-catching
social media feed.

About the business: Needleworksbym is an Instagram fashion store that sells Luxury Emarati mukhawars ( Emirati folk costumes, which is an unstitched fabric embroidered manually on the side of the neck, chest, and sleeves.)

Challenges: How do we communicate to our audience the creative and fun aspects of the mukhawar and give them the confidence to be different and unique in their styling choices?

Outcome: A new brand identity, packaging, and social media material that connects with women that want to express their own touch through their fashion choices.


Mood board
The mood board is inspired from the sunset gradient in combination with bold typography and fun shapes. The colors were chosen to represent joy, friendliness and boldness.

The main logo is a modern and simple wordmark with soft edges inspired by the fabric waves. The secondary logo is a monogram to give the brand a recognizable symbol that can be easily applied in different brand applications.
Unique solution:  Give the brand bold and cool messaging through their typography by using the phrase: "You're the new flair" Which is connected to the mukhwar's customizability to each customer's style. We wanted to encourage the idea that whatever style they choose to create will be the new trend.
